Experience Folk got it right with their Folk’nic event held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. It was a beautiful afternoon dedicated to female empowerment and glowing in the sun. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with fresh fruits and cocktails. There were vendors selling an assortment of items steeped in Black pride. Blankets covered the ground, there were games to play, henna artists to adorn your skin, music to vibe to and sisterly love that warmed your soul. The main attraction was a sisters-circle with a guided conversation discussing the power that resides in every woman to heal old wounds and fulfill her destiny. Thank you Experience Folk for this beautiful event.
